Flipping Pages: library loot

I dropped by the library hoping to get a copy of Men & Demons by Dan Brown. Its the precursor to Da Vinci Code which I really enjoyed. They didn’t have it but I got 1 book by Maeve Binchy/Evening Class, 2 by Sophie Kinsella – The Undomestic Goddess and Shopholic & Sister and 1 by Joy Fielding/Whispers&Lies. Joy Fielding is a Torontonian and featured in Toronto Life so I decided to check her out. Easy read. In her first two books: common threads of abused wife, murder and lesbian lovers. I wondering if this also exists in the 3rd book that I am going to read now. I really should be reading the Japanese tour books that David bought instead.

I usually go to the library after the gym. I notice this weird sensation after being on the treadmill for 35min. When I got off and starting walking, I felt that I was floating off the ground. Must be an after effect from being on the treadmill.

Creative clutter is better than idle neatness.

Words to live by. Isn’t that a great quote? It came from a post about quirky sayings from StampinUp! I know lots of people that would love it too. As for creative clutter, I like to work with everything in front of me but it then it looks messy.

Not your typical swordflower -its a wild gladiola

Since the logo of this blog is swordflowers (aka gladiolas), I wanted a purple gladiola.  I could only find 3 images from flickr.  Gladiolas are  typically vertical flowers however the posted photo is a wild species.  I think the photo was taken in Israel.  If you want to know why I picked swordflower as a name, read the ‘about’ header.
