Flipping Pages: library loot

I dropped by the library hoping to get a copy of Men & Demons by Dan Brown. Its the precursor to Da Vinci Code which I really enjoyed. They didn’t have it but I got 1 book by Maeve Binchy/Evening Class, 2 by Sophie Kinsella – The Undomestic Goddess and Shopholic & Sister and 1 by Joy Fielding/Whispers&Lies. Joy Fielding is a Torontonian and featured in Toronto Life so I decided to check her out. Easy read. In her first two books: common threads of abused wife, murder and lesbian lovers. I wondering if this also exists in the 3rd book that I am going to read now. I really should be reading the Japanese tour books that David bought instead.

I usually go to the library after the gym. I notice this weird sensation after being on the treadmill for 35min. When I got off and starting walking, I felt that I was floating off the ground. Must be an after effect from being on the treadmill.

  • There will be lots of time for reading those Japan tourbooks on the long flight to Osaka!

  • Wow Diana you’ve been busy. The site looks great. I think the precursor Angels & Demons. Have you read the first 3 Shopaholic books. I think it’s better to read in order. I hate to admit it but there was a lot of me in book 1, “Confessions of a Shopaholic”. Think the best of Sophie Kinsella’s books is “Can you keep a Secret”.

I do love Maeve Binchy. There have been a couple of her books I started reading and could not put down. Pulled an all-nighters to finish. This was pre-stamping of course. “Tara Road” was one of these. I think the recent move, “The Holiday” stole it’s premise from “Tara Road”.
