Did you handle any clothing in the department stores? Did you have an uncontrollable urge to fold them items up perfectly and return them to the shelf perfectly stacked if you decided not to purchase (and of course it is unlikely for a Cdn to purchase at yen prices)?

I wasn't able to get into Syriana when I watched the DVD. I generally like George Clooney's movies but this one seemed disjointed and perhaps required undivided attention while watching (I generally do crafts while I watch movies). Although even when I stopped what I was doing to watch, I couldn't get into the movie. I guess I better go back to my preferred type of movie - lots of action, not as much story!

Sorry I missed the Hot Women ATC exchange. I had some good ideas since I have a few Marilyn Munroe, Liz Taylor, Tina Turner (although it says Lena Wayback on it) stamps but never got around to making the ATCs. I'm still having a bit of stamper's block although not as bad as earlier in the year. Maybe I'll have to make a few ATCs with that exchange theme in time for the first SOS meeting in the fall (since I know you always have extras for trading).

Interesting site you have here.

I had put Syriana on my list of movies to watch, based on Mary's recommendation.

While it wasn't painful to watch, there was a lot happening in the movie, so it's not something to put on while multitasking. (99% of the stuff I watch on television, I do while I have a computer in my lap, doing other things. Subtitles usually mean full attention, and Syriana clearly had those).

I would classify the movie as informative, in a style more like a documentary, than in typical fiction-oriented content. It's an easy way for people who don't read newspapers to get perspective on the issue of how the oil industry and American interests influence social development throughout the world.

Wow Diana you've been busy. The site looks great. I think the precursor Angels & Demons. Have you read the first 3 Shopaholic books. I think it’s better to read in order. I hate to admit it but there was a lot of me in book 1, “Confessions of a Shopaholic”. Think the best of Sophie Kinsella’s books is “Can you keep a Secret”.

I do love Maeve Binchy. There have been a couple of her books I started reading and could not put down. Pulled an all-nighters to finish. This was pre-stamping of course. “Tara Road” was one of these. I think the recent move, “The Holiday” stole it’s premise from “Tara Road”.
